Brett Gundlock is a professional wedding photojournalist based in Toronto. He has been working as a professional photographer for over six years, including three years at the National Post as a Staff Photographer.

       Brett’s photojournalism and art based photography skills fit nicely into the wedding photography he produces. His candid images are filled with natural emotion, often with a slightly abstract twist. Capturing the moments of your wedding day as they happen, his images tell the story of your day from start to finish. Brett only takes ten commissions a year, allowing for him to concentrate on each couple's specific needs and leaving him energized and fresh for each wedding day.

       Working with dedicated second shooters at all commissioned weddings, the finial edits are of the highest quality- allowing for multiple angles of your most important moments and giving the photographer the freedom to push the creative limits.

        His clients are visual savvy couples who are open for unique approaches and appreciate the power and timelessness of strong photography. Erica:

Brett has a lot of strengths. He was so great at making James and I comfortable in front of the camera. We enjoyed spenging time with him during our engagement photo shoot so we knew he would be a blast to work with on the day of the wedding.

He was also really great at capturing the events of the day as they unfolded and finding those special moments between families and friends. He was there to take the picture, but you barely noticed that he was around- he was so stealth!

James:

Definitely Brett's biggest strength is his ability to make his subject feel at ease in front of the camera.

Also Brett's preparation and ideas put you more at ease as he guides the shoot to obtain the best lighting, angle, etc.

We loved the pictures he took of us as a couple and the wedding party the most- generally we loved all the photos. Great angles and picture quality. Textures were awesome. His strengthss  are definitely angles, colour, depth and coordination of the shot. Most importantly flexibility, enthusiasm and he was very personable with us and our guests.

Brett is the cool, funny, friendly photographer who looks like one of the wedding guests. We saw some of our wedding shots and thought "how did he get that?!" We were very happy with the shots - they were candid, fun and fresh. Nothing boring or predictable. He managed to get a great group shot of all 150 of our wedding guests that we used as our thank you card - we keep hearing about how cool the picture looks. Our very critical parents were happy with the pictures - a big compliment from the toughest crowd!
